#truAustralia -  Delivering Talent

What is #truAustralia

The first of its kind in Australia, #truAustralia - Delivering Talent is a unique talent networking event - delivering TA trends and insights in an inclusive, community space.

#truAustralia is a must-attend event for HR and TA leaders. It will take place in a creative networking atmosphere where delegates will have a chance to meet and exchange ideas with fellow talent experts and vendors. We will divide the day into two sections: #TalentDelivery - presentations and panel discussions followed by  #tru - community-shaped discussions.

Presented by #TalentTable

Here at Talent Table, we create highly purposeful, human-centered forums, events, and networks that enable the building of genuine high-value relationships in our community.

Through practical, tactical, and strategic support, we create value that is transformative in its impact on our industry and the people working within it.

Talent Table founder, Andrea Kirby, spent over 10 years in the UK amongst a strong talent community and is able to bring cutting-edge speakers from around the world for our larger events and seek out the very best of our local community..

#challenges

This year, there is so much to discuss. The challenges and uncertainty we have been facing in HR and TA are forcing us to rethink talent.

We are seeing an evolution where Talent Acquisition and Talent Management need to move closer together. Organisations need to be just as aggressive at developing their talent as they are at acquiring it.

An important question for many companies to focus on is ‘What are we doing to keep the people that are with us now, and how do we attract the talent we need to grow our business?’.

This event will educate and inspire leaders in shaping their organisation's future.

#why

Our talent teams are seeking support and ideas on how to add value to their organisation.  There will be a fundamental shift in how talent is delivered to organisations and we want to deliver events that will help our community move to talent management and not just acquisition.

#truAustralia is a place where we can come together to share, collaborate and teach each other about the future of talent acquisition.

#features

On the day, attendees will take an active role managing their own learning, with the support from their TA community and sponsor vendors.

There are two parts to the day, giving delegates the best of both worlds:

How #truAustralia works

#truAustralia is based on the world famous Bill Boorman #tru events with a Talent Table flavour over the top.

We have invited Bill Boorman to join us and host the day.

#tru is the first and largest series of recruiting 'unconferences' hosted by local recruiters around the globe. Whilst the original concept is no presentations or powerpoint, we have agreed with Bill that we will do a hybrid #tru allowing for some presentations and case studies.

In the simplest way possible, #tru events are very different from most conferences. The unique format ensures that everyone leaves with far more information, insight, tools, and confidence to take back and apply immediately in their talent activities.

#theme

Delivering Talent for the Future

The  five-year data through a Skill Disruption Index, detected an acceleration in the pace of change as nearly three-quarters of jobs changed more from 2019 through 2021 than they did from 2016 through 2018. In some jobs, 80% of the skills required were either new or changed significantly in importance.

Talent Sourcing should be a priority. Not just acquiring external talent but ensuring there is efficient, transparent, company-wide talent management processes, a pipeline of successors and tailoring an employer brand for specific talent pools.

Join us as we take a look holistically at talent acquisition and talent management and how we transform our TA and TM teams to deliver talent to the business.

Change in our traditional HR model will require change in process, tech, and the capabilities of our team.

This event will present ideas on new TA / TM models, what we need to consider, who is doing it, and what challenges are we facing.

We will break the discussion into three pillars. Topics and case studies will be slotted into these:

Skills capability of our organisation and our teams, diversity, attraction, engagement & experience

How do we place our company in the minds of our talent market, and attract the right talent for a total resource delivery including gig, contingent, freelance, remote and location recruitment?

How do we begin to work together to ensure we have our arms around both TA and TM as people move through the value chain, what can the data tell us, what can tech deliver, and what needs to be in place for a successful transformation?

Our community is at the heart of everything we do, and that is why we are excited to be bringing #truTalent to life, with a vision to connect, inspire and educate HR, TA and TM professionals. We look forward to seeing you there!
